NVTA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Northern Virginia Theatre Alliance, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1980 to further communication, involvement and support among community theaters, as well as increase community interest and awareness of theater activity in the Northern Virginia area. To this end, it has helped foster among the more than 30 member groups the sharing of ideas and personnel, the assisting in making known the availability of costumes, properties and set pieces which could be shared, and thus lowering the ever-increasing costs of producing plays and musicals.

NVTA (as the organization has been known since 1993) sponsors an annual One-Act Play Festival. NVTA also publishes pertinent information and production schedules of all member groups in the form of a yearly calendar. For more information call Anne Ridgway at (703) 330-2787.
